Current Events On-Line Banking Log-In Tips:
If you are having difficulty logging in, it may be due to your e-mail address. For security reasons, we need your e-mail address in the system, and the log-in procedure requesting it is checking against our database. If your e-mail was never put in or if you have changed it, then you will not get a "match", thus be denied access. If you would e-mail Sharon Scheks at sscheks@eoccu.org, with your e-mail address, we can input it into the database, then you may be able to complete your log-in.
TOUCH TONE TELLER / Audio Response Teller (ART) The new unit has been working since the phone system was fixed by AT&T. However, it has been very busy with many members attempting to connect at the same time. The new system has much more flexibility (more menu items) and thus is more confusing and time-consuming. Attached is a menu listing that can assist you. Click Here. If you don't make a telephone connection, please keep trying.
Three handy codes: '99' will always replay the menu options of the menu that you are currently in; '##' will always return to the main menu (first menu); and '98' is for Good Bye, close and hang-up. Note: the term Access Code is equal to the PIN number.
If it is NOT an emergency, you can always communicate with us by e-mail - please use the specific e-mail address for the employee you wish to contact from the list on the right-hand side of this Home Page. Use the staff employee's e-mail address, instead of the eoccu@ number. Your inquiry may be answered sooner!
If you are inquiring about how to access your Home Banking account - please e-mail us and we may be able to give you written instructions, again.
We are still in the first few days of our Data Processor conversion, and we are new at it, so please bear with us. Incidently, the phone system nor the web site had anything to do with our conversion - totaly separate issues - just our luck!!

What is a Credit Union?
A credit union is a group of people with a permit to do business with each other. A business of saving their money in a common fund, and of making loans to the members from that fund. While big bank chains often cater to their customers that are most profitable, the credit union philosophy has always been one of equality and personal service.
A Credit Union is not a credit bureau
A Credit Union is not a labor union
A Credit Union is not a loan company nor a finance house
A Credit Union is a group of people who have joined forces and cooperated to manage their own money. It is a cooperative!
Its basic objectives are to teach and encourage thrift among members and, through their combined savings, extend to members low cost credit for any worthwhile purpose.
How can I join a credit union?
You are eligible to join our credit union if you are a member of any United Methodist Church in the East Ohio Conference; an employee of one of the churches, districts or conference center; an employee or contractor of Akron Beacon Journal or a relative of a current member. If you're not sure or if you would like to join, please contact us through the "Contact US/Membership" web page on this site. Also, you can contact your company's human resource department or visit CU Match Up at http://www.ohiocreditunions.org/.
Who owns credit unions?
Credit unions are owned by members. Credit unions are not-for-profit and do not have stockholders to pay like banks and other financial institutions. Therefore, profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher dividends (interest) on savings, and low or no-fee services. | |
